Working principle of hydraulic strut
The work of the hydraulic rod mainly depends on the oil pressure, the clearance between the tappet body and the seat hole, the clearance between the valve stem and the tappet, and the check ball valve in the tappet. When the hydraulic tappet starts to work, there is no oil pressure in the cavity, so the tappet plunger is at the bottom, the clearance between the tappet and the valve is large, and the valve produces a short-term abnormal sound. As the engine runs, under the action of the oil pressure, the plunger cavity in the tappet is filled with oil, the plunger moves downward, the effective working length of the tappet increases, and the valve clearance decreases. Since the force generated by the plunger in the tappet is small and cannot generate the force to compress the valve spring, when the clearance between the tappet and the valve reaches a very small value, the tappet no longer moves. At the same time, due to the action of the check ball valve in the tappet, the oil pressure in the tappet plunger cavity cannot be discharged quickly, so that the plunger remains in place and maintains the original length to form rigidity, thereby pushing the valve to open. As the engine runs, the valve clearance maintains a certain clearance.
In order to extend the service life of the hydraulic struts and keep them in good working condition, it is recommended that car owners regularly perform the following maintenance and care:
1. Check whether the hydraulic struts are damaged or deformed. 2. Check whether the connecting parts of the hydraulic struts are tight and reliable. 3. Regularly check whether the elastic force of the hydraulic struts is normal. 4. Avoid applying excessive external force or impact on the hydraulic struts.
